Our History

Fred Bouzide opened the first Fred’s Farm Fresh back in 1972 on Dougall & Cabana in a small roadside stand.
Between 1975 and 1978, Fred moved to our current location, 2144 Huron Church, in another roadside stand.

In 1978, Fred and his father moved to the longest standing location, 3336 Huron Church, and started to build the new market. They stayed there for 32 years, until 2010.

Fred moved locations again, and construction began on our current building (2144 Huron Church) in June 2011.
After a year and a half of being closed down, Fred's reopened the greenhouse on May 13th, 2012 and officially reopened the store June 15th, 2012.
The move to our final location was a difficult and lengthy process, but well worth the wait and hard work as we now have a beautiful structure to welcome our customers!
